With only one day to go until the region’s premier energy event, African and global stakeholders are making their way to Dakar for two days of networking and engagement

In response to growing interest by African and global stakeholders in emerging west African opportunities, Energy Capital & Power (ECP) (www.EnergyCapitalPower.com), under the patronage of H.E. Macky Sall, President of Senegal, and in partnership with the Ministry of Petroleum and Energies, COS Petrogaz, Petrosen and various US and Canadian energy industry associations, will hold the first-ever MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 conference and exhibition on the 16th – 17th of December 2021.

With only one day to go until regional leaders, global energy executives, and representatives from multinational organizations gather in Senegal, delegates are preparing for two days of critical networking, valuable engagement, and industry advancing discussions.

Covering the entire MSGBC region from Mauritania to Guinea, while inviting other key players across Africa including Algeria, Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire to participate, the conference has identified the potential of and role that the MSGBC Basin will play in positioning Africa as a globally competitive energy sector. Specifically, the promise of sizeable natural gas discoveries and ongoing large-scale project developments is expected to usher in a new wave of development for Africa, with the region leading the way in cross-border cooperation and multi-sector integration.

Notwithstanding the value of gas revenues for Africa, emerging project developments will significantly improve infrastructure, local job creation, capacity building, and energy access and security. Built against this backdrop, the conference aims to accelerate investment and international participation so as to ensure energy potential translates into tangible benefits. Opportunities within the oil, gas, renewable, and even strategies minerals sectors have positioned the region as both an ideal investment destination, and competitive region.

As regional players continue with their drive to advance energy progress and local content, MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 serves to enhance current growth trends, introducing dynamic panels and presentations to improve dialogue and decision making.
