Energy Capital & Power (ECP) (www.EnergyCapitalPower.com) is proud to announce the launch of an award ceremony at the first-ever MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 (https://bit.ly/3dSCodc) conference and exhibition. Taking place on the evening of the 16th of December, the awards aim to celebrate the achievements made by individuals and energy companies in the MSGBC region’s energy space, with specific attention granted to project success, local content, and sector excellence.

The MSGBC region boasts some of Africa’s biggest oil, gas and renewable resources, with a number of large-scale project developments taking off in recent years. Notwithstanding developmental success, MSGBC energy advancements have served as a catalyst for enhanced economic growth, with energy sector expansion driving progress across multiple industries across the region. As regional and international stakeholders gather to discuss the future of the MSGBC basin in Dakar, Senegal on the 16th – 17th of December, ECP will host an award ceremony at the end of the first day of MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021.

Award categories include energy sector excellence, reliability & outstanding customer service; oil & gas project milestones achieved; delivering the best visibility for the energy sector in the MSGBC basin; and extraordinary achievements in achieving local content utilization.

Judges for the award ceremony include BP, Woodside Energy, SENELEC, and the Ministry of Petroleum and Energies of Senegal. By putting together a selection based on each category, the judges will select the winners of the first-ever MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 awards.

“The MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 awards will not only bring attention to individuals and companies driving MSGBC energy growth, but will set a benchmark by which future progress can be judged. The region, ripe with opportunities and natural resource potential, has and continues to see significant project developments that will likely lead to sustainable economic growth. The awards aim to build on this momentum, celebrating success stories while motivating further progress across the region,” stated Sandra Jeque, International Conference Director, ECP.
